We were all watching the clouds, wondering if the rain would ruin the surprise proposal shoot. Then, almost as if nature was part of the plan, the rain stopped and the soft light settled over African Hills. It felt like the perfect sign for what was about to happen.

Minke had absolutely no idea what was waiting for her. Ricardo had carefully planned every detail of this romantic proposal. The best part was the involvement of Africa’s gentle giant at the lodge. While Minke closed her eyes, the majestic elephant stepped forward holding the sign with the biggest question of all… Will you marry me?

The moment she opened her eyes, everything clicked. Her reaction was priceless, pure emotion, pure joy, pure love. And of course, she said yes.
